Creation of Zero Waste Scotland

Two of Keep Scotland Beautiful’s programmes, Waste Aware Scotland and Keep Scotland Tidy are to be integrated in to a new Scottish Government programme called Zero Waste Scotland which has been created to support the delivery of its Zero Waste Plan.Zero Waste Scotland will provide a one-stop-shop for support and advice to individuals, businesses and local authorities in order to help them reduce waste, recycle more and use natural resources more efficiently.
It will also integrate the activities of WRAP Scotland, Remade Scotland, Envirowise in Scotland, NISP in Scotland, and some programmes delivered by the Community Recycling Network for Scotland.
The full integration of these programmes will take place throughout 2010/11.
