Six Blue Flags raised in Fife as worldwide app for android and iphones launched

Eight Scottish beaches were awarded international Blue Flags in 2012 by Keep Scotland Beautiful, and on Friday 6 July six of these, in Fife, were raised following a ceremony where KSB Chief Executive Derek Robertson handed over a symbolic flag to the Depute Provost of Fife, Councillor Kay Morrison.In tandem with this event the Foundation of Environmental Education (FEE), which Keep Scotland Beautiful is a member of, has developed a smartphone app to celebrate 25 years of the Blue Flag campaign throughout the world. Now, wherever you go, in Scotland, the UK or further afield, you will be able to find the closest awarded beach and get there easily.
